Learn about wine from Sergio and Daniella Zingarelli

Rocca della Macie
Story by Martin Morales
On our OG Wine Amabassador Tour of Italy, Rocca delle Macie was our first
winery visit. It is set in the beautiful Tuscany hills and it's name means fortress of
little stones.
Valeria the Sommelier greeted us and was was our guide for the wine process.
But, first there was lunch. Our gracious hosts were Sergio and Daniela Zingarelli
(our Lunch Menu is listed below).
The Zingarelli family is passionate about wine food and the opera. So, when our OG
Ambassadors serenaded Daniela she was overwhelmed with emotion. After lunch,
Valeria led us to barrel storage room, where they store their Riserva di Fizzano
Chianti Classico and leave it there for two years. We learned about the
fermentation process and the saw the bottling plant. The visit with the Zingarelli
family was very memorable.
