In the spring of 2003, Lori Phinney and I began Vino Ventures, which were a way of sharing with
our co-workers at the Olive Garden restaurant the experience of making wine. Soon, other
waiters, managers and guests from around the metroplex joined in on these Vino Ventures which
included visits to Delaney Vineyards and a Wine Making session at Su Vino Winery and sometimes
even lunch or dinner at the Olive Garden. Over the next two years we made almost every wine
possible. We even labeled our wine Mi Vino (which means my wine). It was a great team building
experience and just plain fun.
